To support myself I drew Barbie and Mad Scientist comics for Mattel, designed ads, sold Pep Girls T-shirts, worked in a photo-lettering shop, and did various jobs for mainstream comic companies such as Western Publishing (Disney books) and DC. My worst job ever was helping to make copper enamel pins of Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
